| Anotácia: | Women living in today Slovakia1 gained sufffrage in 1920, with the
Constitutional Bill (Act 121/1920) of the newly established state of
Czechoslovakia.2 Neither the women’s movement nor the sufffrage movement
can take exclusive or even primary credit for women’s sufffrage there,
however, as wider societal and political processes of democratic nationand
state-building were decisive. This chapter explores these processes. |
